Tali At 15 Months

I'm typing this in the dark tonight. No electricity until tomorrow evening, apart from an extension lead from my neighbour's garage.

Tali was 15 months old on Sunday. Here are some of the pictures I took today.

Adlington Overhead Challenge - 17th May 2008

I went over to the Adlington Barbell Club today to watch the overhead challenge, and there was some great lifting. Mark Clegg became the first person in the 51 year history of the club to lift 200 kilos overhead - and he did it with a Behind The Neck Press! And then followed it up with 210, before failing very narrowly with 215 and 217.5. Andy Littler did a great 187.5 BTN Press, and Mark Felix did 182.5 - truly sensational for a lifter with no Olympic Lifting background to put so much overhead. He's got to have a great chance at this year's BSM next month.

Last but not least, Aaron Lohan got his first ever 400 pound bench press today - and made it look worryingly easy!

Here's a few photos taken on the day. No action shots, because I was doing a bit of helping out, but a few memento photos taken with a few of the guys. The one with Fat Pete is a bit blurred, but it's not every day you get your picture taken with Fat Pete, so in it goes!

Raani At 10 Months

Here's Raani's 10 month pictures. I've added a few Tali ones, a Jasmin one and a 'pack' one to the end.

Raani and Tali look very similarly sized in photos. Who says the camera never lies? In real life, Raani is a rhinoceros and Tali is a thoroughbred racehorse! They're both in proportion to their feet, so all is well!

Tali At 14 Months

A break from the reflections on Bratislava to post some pictures of Tali at 14 months. I think the pictures speak for themselves. She's maturing into a quite beautiful and distinctive young lady. There's a nice one of Raani tagged on at the end.

Some of the backgrounds are less than picturesque today. My normal Saturday walk is around Frodsham Marshes. A lovely walk that the dogs really enjoy, but unfortunately the huge Ineos Chlor (formerly ICI) plant looms in the background.

I frequently get asked about wolfdogs. The best advice I can offer in the first instance is to visit the Cry Wolf website, http://www.cry-wolf.co.uk , where you will find all the information and advice you will need if you are interested in the breed. Happy reading!
