Raani At 6 Months

Well little Raani's six months old today, and as you can see from the photos she's nearly as big as her older sister now. But while Tali now looks like a young adult dog, Raani, although similar in size, still retains some of the floppiness you associate with a puppy.

The weather today was horrible when I left the house - grey with a cold, biting wind that froze my fingers to the bone every time my hands came out of my pockets to take a picture. But within fifteen minutes the sun broke through, the wind died down and I managed to get a few good pictures.

When I write this blog, I feel that I'm writing to myself and the few people I send links to from time to time. But I met Sue in Tesco yesterday. She told me she'd read about Tasha with tears streaming down her face, and when she showed the link to work colleagues it set them off too!

It's nearly two months since we lost Tasha. Never a day goes by when she's not fondly remembered, but the pain has largely gone. Although Jasmin has never been the same dog since. She enjoys her walks and food, but spends the rest of the time just lying in her basket or her chair. On Monday, we met Cueda when out walking. Cueda's a three year old GSD boy who bears a startling resemblance to Tasha and has the same good nature. Watching him running and playing with my dogs brought a little tear to the eye.

Here are three video clips I took today:
